LEGO Mindstorms Robotics

Let’s get into more fun and challenging robotics activities. We start the week with a short review on LEGO Mindstorms including understanding its parts and functions, then move on to building a robot and programming it to perform a variety of actions like moving, including waiting, repeating. They create programs to answer various challenges. They then move to building robots that use various sensors such as the shot roller- a robotic defense system that uses three motors in a remote control or autonomous mode. They create a program to turn the shot roller into an intruder alarm! They learn more advanced programming routines such as my blocks, cascading switches and multiple tasks. The campers will learn to show their creativity, imagination and problem solving skills as they create their own robot designs and perform specific tasks and challenges.
