Our Mad Scientist

Paul  Gilmore:

"Hello! My name is Professor Watt. I have been with Mad Science for more than a year now. I have great enthusiasm for science and I hope to share that with your children. I started learning about science with a whole generation of children that watched Mr. Wizard on TV. Watching him demonstrate science through experiments designed for children inspired me to learn all that I could about science. I hope to bring the same spirit of wonder to your children's education. Regarding my own education I am currently acting President of the UCO Astronomy Club, I have an Associates in Arts for philosophy and I'm currently finishing up a Science Education degree at UCO. I look forward to becoming apart of your child's education. "

Coltan Scrivner

I have a bachelor's degree in anthropology with minors in biology and natural science from Oklahoma Baptist University, and I am currently working on my master's degree in forensic science - biology/chemistry at the University of Central Oklahoma. In the future, I plan to use my science career be a public proponent for science education. Science is in everything we do! So it is important for the public to have a basic understanding of what science is and how it operates. My undergraduate honors thesis focused on the public's perception of stress, breaking down the complex concept into information that everyone can understand. I have experience tutoring chemistry and math in high school, and am currently a tutor for biology, chemistry, and writing at UCO. When I'm not doing science, I enjoy watching movies, conversations over coffee, and outdoor activities such as rafting and hiking.

Matthew Wynn

I am currently studying at Oral Roberts University in International Community Development.  I love having fun at children's camps and being positive influences in children's lives.  I currently have 2 years’ experience running a summer camp of 25,000 camp goers

I love to have fun with kids but also leaving them something that they can apply to life. So through exciting and high energy programs, children are going to have fun while learning tons of science.

Nathan Jenkins (AKA Dr. Galactic)

I have been working with MadScience for 2 years providing exciting programs in After-School Programs, Assemblies, Booths, Vacation Bible Schools, and Birthday Parties.  I am currently pursuing a degree in Ministry and Theology at Southern Nazarene University while also serving as a youth ministry intern at Choctaw Church of the Nazarene. My hobbies include scouting, playing the guitar, and backpacking. My love for science and perplexing children provides perfect chemistry with my confident and humorous presentation style. Dr. Galactic will be sure to provide an "Out-of-this-World exhibition.

Victoria Wehe (AKA MADame Molecule)

I have worked with Mad Science doing camps & after school programs for over 1 year. I received my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Stephen F Austin State University and taught high school chemistry for 7 years. I also taught hands on science classes to groups of my children’s friends.  Recently, I have been teaching chemistry at home school coops in the OKC area. When I am not teaching, I love to read books about dragons.

Sarah Sehhati

I am going to school to become a pediatrician! I love children and want to help children, adolescents, young adults and their families. I am also learning sign language to communicate with the deaf and hard of hearing. I love to shop and decorate my house. I love to dress up nicely! When it’s hot I enjoy swimming a lot. I really enjoy making and building things such as arts and crafts. I love doing birthday parties!!! They are so fun! Doing camps is fun and amazing! There is excitement of science for the whole week!!!! My favorite quote is "Only where children gather is there any real chance of fun." So I would absolutely love to have fun with your child!
